California Sierra Madrone Slab - Dry: 1 3/4" Thickness x 36" to 32" to 38" Wide x 8' 4" Long. Live Edge Sierra Madrone slab (Arbutus mensiesii) also referred to as Madrono. The tree this slab was sawn from grows in the sierra mountain range of northern California as well as the coastal range of the Pacific Northwest as far north as British Columbia. The slab has been air dried over 5 years and has been machined flat on both sides. The wood is very dense, has excellent machining properties and is very similar in appearance to eastern cherry.
